E!News : Barcelona star Lionel Messi is ready to enter the world of fashion. Diario Ole says Messi plans to cash in on his global profile by launching his own clothing label - to be known as 'Messi'.

Messi plans to enter partnerships with high-profile celebrities around the world to make the venture a winner.

"It will be high-quality clothing and accessories for men. I'd like to open the first stores next summer," he said.

Among those being tapped up are Chelsea ace Frank Lampard for London, Manchester United star Wayne Rooney in Manchester, David Beckham for Los Angeles, rapper Jay-Z in New York and the actor Colin Farrell in Dublin. (fashion)
